ACT Associates is a UK‑based health, safety, environmental and wellbeing consultancy and training provider. Since 1991 they have helped organisations improve safety through audits, consultancy and training services. The company works with businesses and individuals of all sizes, offering high‑quality, accessible training and expert advice.
“ACT” reflects the services the company provides: Audits, Consultancy and Training. The business was formed in 1991 to provide a single point of contact for these three safety services.
ACT Associates delivers courses accredited by several respected awarding bodies. Their courses are accredited by NEBOSH, City & Guilds, IOSH, iAS, CITB, ECITB and UKATA. They also hold the NEBOSH Gold Learning Partner status, recognising excellence in training delivery.
The company provides independent audits to assess health, safety and environmental performance. Their auditors are experienced in recognised management system standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and HSG65. An audit gives organisations an unbiased view of how well their policies and procedures are working and highlights opportunities for improvement.
ACT’s consultancy covers several areas. They offer a competent person service, training needs analysis, independent incident investigation, workplace inspections, independent reviews and management systems consultancy. Specialists can provide third‑party insight, investigate incidents, assess training requirements and help implement management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Training is available through classroom courses, virtual courses, e‑learning and in‑house training. Their courses cover health and safety, environmental management, fire safety, construction safety, wellbeing and auditing. Programmes lead to qualifications from awarding bodies such as NEBOSH, IOSH, City & Guilds, iAS, CITB, ECITB and UKATA.
