Course Overview
This course provides delegates with refreshed and current knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site safely with lower risk to themselves and others.
For this course, delegates must hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport Card which is in-date.
CCNSG Safety Passport cards are valid for 3 years from the date of your course and you are required by ECITB to attend a renewal course before your card expires. You can renew up to six months before the expiry date. Successfully completing a renewal course will update your card for a further 3 years.

A valid CCNSG Safety Passport card is often a requirement for working on many sites in the construction and engineering sectors including power generation and petrochemical sites. This is because refreshing yourself on the key information is a great way to update your knowledge and help you to be safe and work safely on site.
Any organisation that uses the CCNSG Safety Passport scheme will not let you on site with an expired safety passport card.
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal is for employees, contractors, and self-employed tradespeople who already have a CCNSG Safety Passport which is about to expire.
It covers any updates to relevant legislation, good health and safety practice and provides a refresher on the key areas that you will have covered in your previous course.
Topics for CCNSG renewal include:
- Health and safety legislation, regulations and safe working practices and procedures
- Safe use of tools and equipment in different working environments
- Safe working practices and safe solutions to problems and emergencies
- Personal site safety responsibilities
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is assessed with two multiple choice question papers. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. They are designed to assess what you have learned throughout the day.
On successful completion of the course and assessments delegates will be provided with the CCNSG Safety Passport issued by ECITB and valid for a further 3 years.
