The assessment for the NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation course is a practical assessment that is completed at the end of the one-day course. To complete this practical assessment, you will be provided with a pack of evidence and videos of three witness interviews. You will be asked to review the evidence, evaluate each interview and produce an action plan that will help to prevent the recurrence of an incident.
This assessment is a good way to reaffirm the knowledge that you have learned during the day, and show how to apply that knowledge to real life situations.
The NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation takes approximately 7 hours of study to complete. This involves 6 hours of taught and 1 hour for the assessment.
This course is supported by a NEBOSH Study Guide, which covers the course syllabus and content in detail.
The guide provides the knowledge necessary to help you achieve the qualification, and includes activities and case studies that illustrate the key areas covered by the syllabus. It can be used as part of your studies during a taught course, or as a study aid for e-learning, distance learning, and revision sessions. The information is also a valuable reference source for those applying incident investigation techniques in the workplace.
The NEBOSH Study Guide is available as both a hardcopy and an e-book for all learners taking the course.
The NEBOSH one day courses are designed to give you an understanding of a single topic, such as Incident Investigation. After achieving the Introduction to Incident Investigation course, you could move on to other one day course such as the Managing Stress at Work, Environmental Awareness, or the Health and Safety Leadership. They are great bitesize courses to introduce you to each topic, which could then be further specialised in the Certificate or Diploma range.
