ACT Director Ian Coombes was honoured with the Special Projects Award at the 2024 SGUK Awards Ceremony last month. The award was a surprise addition to the ceremony, and recognises Ian’s hard work and dedication to SGUK over the previous twelve months – in particular his leadership role in overseeing the awards ceremony.

Reflecting on the award, Ian said:

“I was very surprised to receive recognition in the form of an Award – my role in the SGUK Awards is to ensure others get the Awards they deserve. I am proud to have had the privilege of managing the SGUK Awards this year, in particular the introduction of the Health & Safety Hero awards, which gave me the opportunity of celebrating the work of amazing individuals.”
