CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

• Those attending should already be in, or be about to be in a supervisory role.
• You will need to have a standard of English language suitable to understand the course materials.

By the end of the course, supervisors will have an understanding of:

• health and safety law and responsibilities for supervision roles
• toolbox talks and effective site inductions
• carrying out risk assessments and method statement briefings
• intervening in a timely manner when bad practice is spotted on site
• effective monitoring of site activities

The certification for this course is valid for 5 years. In order to maintain your certificate, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry of the date of your certificate. If you do not complete a refresher course successfully before the expiry date of your certificate, you will be required to sit the full course again.

The course is assessed with an end of course examination and a ‘Trainer Review’. To achieve the certificate attendees must be present for the whole duration of the course, pass the exam and pass all three elements of the ‘Trainer Review’.
