Course Overview

This one day classroom course for the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme is a refresher for those that are looking to renew their certificates prior to the date of their expiry.

The course enables site supervisors to get their health and safety knowledge up to date, and to refresh their certification for the SSSTS scheme.

It builds on the course content of the SSSTS full course and updates knowledge of health and safety practice including an overview of any legislative changes and their impact on the workplace.

Course FAQs

This refresher course is only suitable for those that have previously complete a Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) full course. The date on the certificate that the delegate holds must not expire before the date of the course.

By the end of this refresher course, delegates will be able to:

Implement updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation changes that affect your role as a supervisor
Implement updated guidance and best practice
Fulfil your responsibilities as a supervisor regarding health, safety, welfare and the environment

Upon successful completion of the SSSTS-R course you will be issued with a new certificate with a new expiry date. Certificate holders are required to sit the refresher course again at a later date prior to the expiry of the new date of their certificate. It is recommended that certificate holders renew their qualification every three years or less.

The course is assessed with a 30 minute end of day exam paper.
