This one-day course is a theory & task-based level 2 program. It is designed for those who are about to work in confined spaces, supervise them, or need to understand the risks before entering the space themselves ensures compliance with the health and safety regulations like Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.

Training for confined space entry is critical because these environments present unique, often invisible hazards—such as toxic atmospheres, oxygen deficiency, and engulfment risks—that can lead to serious injury or death. Proper training equips workers with the skills to recognise these dangers, use life-saving equipment like gas detectors and breathing apparatus, and execute effective emergency rescues.
The course covers the following:
- Current legislation
- Hazard identification
- Equipment selection
- Permits to work
- Safe working procedures
- Hygiene
- Gas detection
- Use of oxygen escape sets
- Accident and emergency procedures
- 20 Multiple Choice Questions with 80% pass mark (16/20)
- Practical Assessment: Entering the confined space and negotiating the space until required to do an emergency evacuation.
- On successful completion you will receive an in-house certificate of achievement.
