The iAS Induction To Health and Safety course has been designed to allow organisations to ensure that they are meeting their legal duties by providing staff with the knowledge that they need to minimise risks in the workplace, and to contribute to their own health and safety.
It is best used in addition to a site induction at a workplace, but the general health and safety information contained within the course is still useful to individuals.
The iAS Induction To Health and Safety course is split into small digestible parts with interaction and multimedia content. The course covers:
- Health and safety law, policy and responsibilities
- Welfare facilities and first aid
- Emergencies and fire arrangements
- Incident, accident and hazard reporting
- Risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Sources of health and safety information
- Personal protective equipment
- Safety signs
- Hazardous substances
The course assessment is a short, online multiple choice exam.
The learner has access to one free re-sit of the assessment should they require it.
Successfully completing the end of course assessment will issue the learner with a digital iAS certificate which can be saved, downloaded and printed off.
