The qualifications are ideal for those that have responsibilities to manage health and safety within their organisation/workplace, or those that want to develop a career in health and safety.

These qualifications are held by:

  • Health and Safety Managers
  • Health and Safety Professionals
  • Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders
  • Those who are looking to progress into a career in health and safety

National General Certificate In Occupational Health and Safety:

The National General Certificate online is a widely recognised and leading health and safety qualification for professionals who mainly work within the United Kingdom.

This is because the qualification includes an emphasis on the UK’s key legal requirements for health and safety. The UK has two parts to it’s legal system that must be understood by employers and employees who work in any organisation/workplace within the UK, common law and statute law. The general certificate looks at both of these systems and the key parts of them that somebody with health and safety responsibilities must consider.

Upon completion of this course you should be able to advise on duties of employers and employees under the main pieces of health and safety legislation.

NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety:

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is held by over 84,000 people across the world, and is recognised and respected globally.

This qualification is for individuals that manage health and safety in any country across the world.
This course focuses on internationally agreed standards of health and safety such as those set out by the International Labour Organisation, and best practice in health and safety.

This qualification will enable you to advise on the main duties that have been agreed internationally for the management of health and safety in the workplace.

Example:

If you are employed in a managerial position within an organisation/workplace who’s employees, and main operations are based in France, the International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety will help you to understand the internationally applicable responsibilities that you have.

You would still be required to research and understand French laws that are in place regarding health and safety, but the qualification will help you to understand how to apply your health and safety knowledge to these laws, and help you to implement internationally agreed best practice.
